Letter from the President

Sammy Tate, 2024 IFC President

Hello, and welcome to the official website of the University of Kentucky Interfraternity Council (IFC). Our fraternal community is composed of nearly 1,800 collegiate men spread across 22 recognized member organizations, with each of our chapters offering a variety of unique experiences shaped by their respective organization’s core values.

The Interfraternity Council strives to aide our members in the pursuit of Academics, Development, Involvement, Community and Health & Wellbeing as they navigate their path through college life. We hope to make these values evident to our campus community through both our actions and our words, so that we may continue to offer this experience to students at the University of Kentucky.

As a member of IFC community, I have had the opportunity to be involved with a variety of activities and events that provide safe and enjoyable outlets to engage with others. I have also had the honor of working with many bright and talented students here at the University of Kentucky. These young men have taught me a great deal about the importance of teamwork, experiences and support. Our community and our commitment to bettering the men who join has contributed immensely in helping me become the young man that I am and the man I want to be.

We believe that there is a home for every Wildcat in one of our great chapters and encourage all who are interested to further explore our website. As it can direct you or provide you answers to questions you might have about the Interfraternity Council, our IFC Community and the student experience here at the University of Kentucky.

If you have any questions about the IFC, Member Chapters, or the larger Fraternity and Sorority Life community, please feel free to reach out to myself, any of the other executive officers, or Fraternity and Sorority Life Staff.

Go Cats!
